Extracurricular Programmes · Ages 4–12
Lumina Collective offers thoughtfully designed programmes that nurture children's inner world — through personal development, emotional literacy, and creative expression.
Where children discover who they truly are
Our Approach
At Lumina Collective, we believe every child carries a rich inner world that deserves to be seen, nurtured and expressed. Our programmes create the conditions for children to develop self-awareness, emotional understanding, and creative confidence — not through instruction, but through experience.
"The most important thing a child can discover is themselves."
We work with children aged 4 to 12 in extracurricular settings, combining two distinct but deeply complementary approaches — reflective personal development and creative arts — into a unified experience that speaks to the whole child.
Working with schools
Our programmes are currently offered at Swiss School Singapore. We are open to partnering with other schools and institutions who share our values.
Our Programmes
Each programme is designed independently but works in harmony. Together they offer children a complete space for self-discovery.
By Lucia Baron
Through carefully crafted themed classes, children are gently invited to observe themselves, name their emotions, and develop the inner capacity to reflect. Each class speaks to every child individually — without anyone feeling singled out — creating insights that children carry naturally into their everyday lives and relationships. The results are often felt at home, in quiet moments, long after the class ends.
By Freya Athayde
Through hands-on making and creative projects, children discover the joy of expression and build genuine confidence. Freya brings a natural warmth and deep connection with children that transforms every class into a safe, joyful space — where creativity flows freely and every child feels seen, valued and proud of what they create. What makes this programme different is its focus on the child behind the creation. Every project is an opportunity to make a choice, trust an instinct, and stand behind something that is entirely their own. Over time, that experience of being the author of something — however small — becomes the quiet foundation of self-confidence.

What children will experience
Why It Matters
Self-awareness is not a subject you can teach. It is something a child discovers — through the right experiences, in the right environment, with adults who know how to hold space. That is what we do at Lumina Collective.
Every child moves at their own pace. We observe, respond and design around what each child needs — never a fixed formula.
Learning happens through doing, making and experiencing — not through instruction. The body, imagination and emotions are all part of the process.
The insights children gain don't stay in the classroom. They travel home, into relationships, and into life — exactly where they matter most.
The People Behind Lumina
We came together because we saw the same thing in children — a rich inner world waiting to be met. We just each found a different door.
Children's Personal Development & Emotional Literacy Facilitator
Lucia's journey with young people began over five years working in university student recruitment, where she guided adolescents through some of the most identity-defining moments of their lives. It was there that her passion for young people's self-development was born. For the past four years, she has brought that same commitment to younger children — designing responsive experiences that help them develop self-awareness, emotional understanding and the capacity to reflect. Her work meets each child where they are, creating insights that ripple quietly outward into their real lives and relationships. Lucia holds a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychology and is a certified Incredible Years Group Leader — a foundation that quietly informs everything she brings to her work with children.
Arts & Crafts Facilitator
Freya is a primary school teacher with a natural ability to connect with children. She brings warmth, creativity, and joy into every class, creating an environment where students feel safe, valued, and inspired. With experience in international school settings across Singapore and Sweden, and having been educated in an international school herself, Freya brings a strong global perspective to her practice. Her approach is grounded in child-centred learning, creative freedom, and the belief that every child's voice matters. At Lumina, she creates a space where children feel confident to express themselves, make independent choices, and experience the pride of creating something truly their own.
